Optical (reflection) sensor module with LM393 comparator, detecting obstacles with high accuracy.

Ideal sensor for obstacle detection for installation in smart robots.

Layout description

• Universal reflective (optical) sensor. The transmitter is an IR diode and the receiver is a phototransistor (TCRT5000 kit).
• Thanks to the LM393 comparator, the module has a binary output (D0) on which there is a low or high level.
• Sensor enables object detection at distances up to 12mm.
• The module has a potentiometer to adjust sensitivity and LEDs to indicate power and sensor status.
• The module has an output: analog and digital
• Power supply: 3.3-5V
• Range: 3mm – 12mm
• Current consumption max 20mA
