Description
L298N module – controller of DC motors and stepper motors
L298N is a high power motor controller. Allows control of two DC motors or one two-phase stepper motor.
The circuit can be controlled with an Arduino by connecting its pins to the following inputs of the circuit: IN1, IN2, IN3, IN4. By applying a high state to these pins, we control the direction of rotation of each channel.
The H-bridge has a voltage stabilizer that, when the 5V Enable jumper is inserted (see pic. below) provides 5V at the +5V Power output (see pic. below) from which you can power, for example, the Arduino.
A separate higher voltage (up to 24V) is connected to the 12V pins and ground to GND from which the motors will be powered.
High current capacity of 2A per channel gives the possibility to use larger motors.
Product features
- Module with L298 controller allows control of the direction of rotation and speed of two DC motors or one two-phase stepper motor
- L298N includes circuit overheat protection.
- It is powered by up to 24V.
- The maximum current per channel is 2 A.
- The circuit has a built-in 5V voltage regulator 78L05, to power the logic part.
- With ARK screw connectors, the power supply, and the motors themselves, can be easily connected by screwing the wires together with a screwdriver.
- Control signals have been derived on popular goldpin connectors easy connection to Arduino
- The chip has a heatsink installed
