PC817 2-channel optoisolator galvanic isolation module – optocoupler
This module is helpful in connecting digital systems (e.g., 5V Microcontrollers) to a high-voltage system. The board electrically isolates the controller from the high-performance system with an optical-isolation IC. IC has two built-in LEDs and two photodiodes.
This allows the low voltage side to control the high voltage side.
The module has LEDs to indicate the operation of each channel. Also there are two jumpers, one per channel, thanks to which you can disconnect the executive circuit, e.g. during testing instead of unscrewing the wires from the ARK connector
Often used board to prevent electromagnetic interference when controlling, for example, motors with higher voltage than the microcontroller that controls them. This board isolates systems, creating a barrier between devices.
